In December, upon the eve of Christmas, we recorded 6 new songs for our sophomore slump. We worked with our good friend, Dan Hallas, to capture our live energy in a 3 hour session/sprint. Recorded onstage at Warsaw in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, these songs are a nice sequel to our first release, "Winter Cuts" – a 6-song EP recorded in a very similar manner in midtown Manhattan.
I spent most of February of this year working on the vocals, then mixed and mastered everything in March in Roslindale, MA – once again with Dan Hallas.
Throughout it all, have been readying for the release of these tracks – a new 6-song EP, "Summer Cuts" – on June 21, the second day of summer.
But before that, on May 10 we are releasing "Run Run Run," the EP's first single. That will be followed by "Fire in the Rocks" on May 31.
Very excited and at the end of the day, I'm really proud of it.
